Marbella Guide - Nerja

Nerja balcon de europa Unlike much of the Costa, Nerja which has a population of just 12,000 is mostly low-rise building. It has beautiful, light sandy beaches which offer a whole array of water sports including jet-skis, water skiing, kayaks, and scuba diving.

The main attraction in town is the Balcon de Europa, a tree-lined promenade jutting out into the sea with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains.

For dining, try a trip to Udo Heimar's in Calle Andalucia. Also try Restaurant 34 on Calle Carabeo, Miguels on Calle Pintada and Au Petit Paris in Calle Malaga.

Nerja Caves
Nerja cavesSome 3 kilometres to the east of the town, near to the Village of Maro, are the world-renowned Nerja Caves. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer.
